Umm, what? Oh! Did you want to talk to me? Oh… you wanted me to talk about me. Well I guess that’s okay then. My name’s Astoria and I’ve just set my first foot in to my fourth year in Hogwarts. I’m a Slytherin, personally the best house in the whole school. My older sister whose in her sixth year is called Daphne – you might know her. She hangs around with Pansy who follows Malfoy like a lost puppy. Me? I don’t so much like that kind of crowd, but I do hang out with my sister every now and then. I have my own friends. I’ve been told I’m bubbly, very forgetful and quite an adventurous person. I got in to trouble a lot before I came to Hogwarts, mainly because I just couldn’t resist sneaking out and seeing my friends. I’m not one of those typical rebellious teenage girls, so don’t worry about that. I’m very loyal to my friends though, so I don’t blab secrets they tell me – only those who I don’t like. I have a horrible habit of picking the feathers off of my quill which irritates all the professors especially when I can’t be bothered to pick them up again. I spend most of my time hiding out in a secret corridor and no, I’m not going to tell you where it is. Secret! I really love learning about magic, honestly, I just find some, if not most of the lessons boring. Really. Do I care about the history of magic? No. I don’t like history anyway, so why would I want to learn about some old fogy who did a load of great magic and had fun? Nothing we cannot learn from actually being physically taught magic. In my second year we had this loopy defence against the dark arts teacher who went mental and decided we needed to learn about threats of all shape and kind. If I’m going to be honest, he looked and acted like a real drunk. Last year was that Umbridge woman. Now whilst I am a Slytherin I did not like her at all; she tried to change too much. At first it was brilliant, but then it just got on my nerves. Whatever, she’s gone now. It’s not like there are any good teachers here anyway. Most of them are old, dull and boring and they never teach us anything interesting. No wonder their lessons are such a bore. I guess this is just my opinion because I’m stubborn and very impatient and I don’t like waiting around to learn something that I could use to have fun. So I suppose if I was going to be open-minded, that their lessons are actually interesting and I do learn things from them. Oh, look at me, I’ve gone over-word. Adios!
